Momentum yoga was born out of the vision to create an authentic yoga sanctuary and community in the Hills district, where our teachers wholeheartedly embody the practice of yoga daily, sharing their continual passion and knowledge with the community. 

Whether you're a beginner or advanced yogi, Momentum invites everyone of any age to join us and experience the journey of exploring your own personal transformation. 

Our highly-trained and dedicated teachers provide a welcoming and open space for students to unwind, connect back to themselves and deepen their practice, both on and off the mat.

Our yoga classes are heated between 21 - 26 degrees with Infra-red heaters, which are great for detoxing the body. The studio is fully equiped with beautiful shower and change-room facilities. High quality Manduka yoga mats, blocks and straps are provided.

Rosalind Evans

Director, Founder, Yoga Teacher

Rosalind set foot in her first yoga class at the age of 15, to this day she clearly remembers being in ore of the 75 year old teacher with her feet behind her head in lotus. 

Since then Rosalind’s yoga journey has evolved and progressed through various different yoga lineages. 

A trained classical ballet/contemporary dancer with a Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in dance from Queensland University of Technology. Dancing professionally, including with The Wiggles for a number of years and teaching for the passed 14 years teaching, as well as the NSW Junior Womens Artistic Gymnastics development squad’s dance coach.

The movement of yoga has always presented a sense of joy and fulfilment for Rosalind, however when she transitioned from professional dancer to a corporate career in media advertising that the calming and grounding effects of yoga really hit home. Yoga was now not only a tool to move the body, but release stress, aid digestion problems, calm an over active mind and gain perspective on life.

Having completed her first 200hrs training with Duncan Peak at Power Living Australia and realising that life behind a computer screen wasn't for her, Rosalind left the corporate world and immersed herself entirely in the yoga realm and further exploration of the body, mind and breath.

Since then she has accomplished a further 70hrs Yin Yoga training with Duncan Peak as well as 200hr training - Moon, Sun, Fire Hatha yoga with the inspirational Octavio Salvadore in Bali. Further to this Rosalind has continued to learn and be inspired by international teachers Elena Brower, Dice Iida-Klein and Ana Forrest.

Rosalind loves to share her passion and dedication for yoga with her students and takes joy in guiding each individual through this transformational process. Rosalind’s classes are dynamic and strong, with a deep connection to the breath and mind.


Anneriek Favelle

Yoga Teacher

Anneriek is a Sr Yoga Teacher with 18 years of experience in many yoga disciplines. She has an unique ability to teach challenging practices in a light hearted and joyful way. Her vinyasa flow classes are inspired by Shiva Rea’s Prana Flow, creating powerful flows with movement to stay connected to the softness this practice can offer you. In her own practice she has a great love for arm balancing practices for the strength and self-trust these poses require.

Anneriek has completed a three year apprenticeship in Asthanga Vinyasa Yoga, 100 hr Yin TT, 300 hr TT with Mark Stephens (Author of Teaching Yoga and Yoga Sequencing) and completed 200 hr TT in Prana Vinyasa Flow with the internationally renowned yogini Shiva Rea. Anneriek had taught over 10,000 classes.

Anneriek is very passionate about yoga and loves to share her knowledge to help create healthy bodies, peaceful minds and an awareness in living.

Bec Gonthier

Yoga Teacher

Bec’s classes are filled with movements and inspirations from her personal practice, and tend to focus largely on creating space within the body, as well as creating new movement pathways with strength and mindful movement.

First finding the practice in 2014, Bec completed 200 hours of training at Byron Yoga Centre in 2015, studying with John Ogilvie. Since then she has had the privilege of studying Yin Yoga with Anneriek Favelle; sequencing with Noelle Connolly and Sarah Routhier, and is excited to be spending time with Simon Park this year. Forever curious about the practice and always eager to learn, Bec will forever be a student first, and teacher second. Her classes will encourage you to find a sense of surrender, in order to receive the profound effect that conscious understanding of movement can have on our experiences on and off the mat.


Daphne Davidson

Yoga Teacher

Daphne teaches Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Movement, Fitness, Meditation and Yoga Nidra. She feels her life has aligned to come into the practice of Yoga and teach.

In her earlier years, she has explored movement through gymnastics and cheerleading and continues to practice general movement. Additionally, she has volunteered and been of service in many capacities such as an educator, faciliator and mentor to empower youth and worked for a non-profit community-based organization who is a strong voice in supporting and empowering woman and children who may be struggling with mental health, spritual wellness, addictions and trauma. She has a passion for living a healthy, balanced and empowered life and strong desire to support others in their journey. 

Daphne has always been curious of the physicality of the human body, power of the mind and the field of mind and matter, mind body soul connection, energy, spirituality, and life. 

In 2016, when she walked through the doors of her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training with Christina Raskin, Oxygen Yoga & Fitness in Vancouver, Canada an enlightening moment of clarity came to her life - she knew it was part of her purpose. She futhers her knowledge and wisdom through practice, experience, self-study, reading, and additional trainings. She is also certified in Yin Yoga, RAD Yoga Level 1 & 2 (Self-Myofascial Release & Yoga) and Yogassage (Yin Yoga & Massage). 

Yoga has created the space for her to live a more full and balanced life, filled with freedom, acceptance, possibility, happiness, love, courage and compassion. She wants to share that with others. Daphne brings passion, challenge and creativity to her classes, and always hopes to create a safe space of empowerment, connection and compassion

Taigen Bullen

Yoga Teacher

Taigen writes, "There is not a thing in my life that my yoga practice hasn’t touched, shaped or influenced in some way. My journey began in 2014 and has since taken on a life force of its own. Through movement of the body with the breath we are able to cease the fluctuations of the mind and enter a space where we experience peace, joy and nonresistance to what is. When we come to our mats we are saying yes to self exploration, yes to growth, yes to embracing all that we are in this moment.

Vinyasa Yoga combines the power of breath, mindful movement, asanas, intelligent sequencing and meditation. In this space the mind and body are enticed to go deeper into that which it already knows is abundant.

My classes draw on these principles, encouraging you to embody your true self, find your core, challenge your limits and guide you through the waves of movement and stillness alike. Looking forward to flowing with you x"

Taigen has completed her 350HR yoga teacher training through Body Mind Life, Sydney. Including super sequencing with Noelle Connolly and continues to advance her yoga practice and teaching through numerous workshops and masterclasses with International teachers.
